Biomechanical Muscle Stimulation
BMS is a technology that was developed in the former Soviet Union and has been applied to improve the performance of Soviet athletes and cosmonauts for the past 20 years. In 1995 Frauke Hauk has started
to introduce the concept to the western world, starting in Germany and now expanding world-wide.
The concept is quite simple. Through the external use of vibrations the physical tremor of the human muscle is simulated, thus increasing the blood circulation and increasing the growth and regeneration
of muscle and enclosed nervous tissue. The method is applied in medical treatment (paralysis, atrophy, ...) as well as health and beauty oriented areas (body-building, anti-cellulite, cosmetics, ...).
